Our 2005 Honours

In 2005 we recieved a total of 5 ribbons for design.

We are very proud that we were awarded for Best Plaque Design and for Best Sublimation Design.

We continue to be the only Canadian company that has won a major award at this international event; hosted by the ARA in Las Vegas. Our staff is extremely proud of this recognition of our superior design, innovation and quality. It has become a tradition of Columbia Awards to explore all creative facets for designing custom awards.

We also recieved recognition for Creativity , Sandcarving , and Engraving !

Best in Sublimation 2004

Once again the Awards and Recognition Association have recognized our company as one of the best. This time for a plaque that was manufactured using sublimated graphics.

At this same conference we also achieved 2nd place in Creativity and 2nd place in Trophy design.

This engraved plaque utilizes a variety of materials to achieve its impressive design characteristics. It is an excellent example of how we constantly search for different materials and techniques to create outstanding awards. This creativity, when joined with our commitment to quality and service, sets us apart in the awards and recognition business. This is why we are recognized as exceptional!

Best Plaque 2001

The 2001 award was presented for a 3 dimensional wooden plaque depicting a golfer hitting a shot from a sand trap over a creek and toward the green.

"To win the first award two years ago was a great feeling for everybody involved," Korbyl said. "This year, when our company's name was called for the second time, we were even more honoured."

Best Trophy 1999

This trophy was the innovation of our cross-generational design team, and through their combined efforts they made this a "hole in one" trophy! It was by their exploitation of the technology of laser cutting that they were able to take an ordinary pipe and transform it into an extraordinary award. We are very proud to say that we were the first company outside of the USA to win at this International ARA event.

Team member Alfred (79) was heard to say: "A blue ribbon!?!? I thought red was for first!"
